My STORY
I do not coach from a place of having it all figured out. I coach from a place of having walked through it too.
For 22 years, I showed up in rooms that demanded excellence, led hundreds of people across high-stakes environments, and built a career I genuinely loved. I rose through the ranks of the federal government, serving in national security leadership, and retired as the first Western Region Director for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), overseeing 500+ employees across 14 states and a $65M operation. By every external measure, I was a success.At the highlight of my career, I started wrestling with a question that became harder and harder to ignore: am I building a life truly defined by purpose, or just a career that is celebrated by the world as a measure of success? That question and the truthful answer would not leave me alone. It grew louder the higher I climbed, until I could no longer outrun it with the next promotion, the next milestone, or the next achievement.So I retired early from civilian service and said yes to a calling that, to many, did not make sense given everything I had built. That decision was not a strategy. It was a surrender.I am the Founder of My Faith at Work Coaching, a practice rooted in decades of leadership experience and a genuine passion for coaching professionals navigating the complex layers of demanding careers, family, and life while staying anchored in faith. The people I work with are high achievers standing in a gap between the external career they have built and the internal life they feel called to live. Using the LAYER Method, a faith-centered coaching framework developed from my own lived experience, I guide clients through five stages: Listen, Align, Yield, Embed, and Release, moving them from striving to alignment and from achievement to calling.I do not coach from a place of having it all figured out. The Work
The most common places professionals find themselves - stuck, stretched, or searching.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. ~ Colossians 3:23-24
Coaching is not one-size-fits-all, and neither are the challenges that bring professionals to this work. You know what the right thing is. The hard part is doing it when your environment does not encourage, support, or reward it. We will navigate challenges of ethically complex and compromised workplaces so that you can lead authentically without sacrificing values or careers. Being in a compromised system does not mean you have to be a compromised person.

The weight of a demanding career, marriage, family, and your personal life does not have to crush you. Together we identify the rhythms and boundaries that support your desire to honor God, protect your relationships, and keep you mentally focused and fully capable of showing up and giving your best for the long haul. This is not about finding ways to do less. It is about doing what matters most.
Decision-Making

When you are standing at a crossroads and every option feels uncertain or like the wrong choice, faith has to take the lead. Together we will work to shift from a posture of fear - "What do I do?" - to a posture of faith - "What is God calling me to do?" We work through the noise together until clarity replaces paralysis and confidence replaces fear.
Difficult Relationships

Some of the hardest work we do happens not in the boardroom but in the relationships we are required to maintain every single day. Difficult supervisors, toxic peers, and draining team dynamics can quietly erode our confidence, our values, and our sense of calling if we let them. Those issues can also bleed over into your personal life, building on your stress. Together we will navigate those challenging relationships in a way that doesn't cost you important pieces of yourself, your integrity, or your faith. The LAYER Method
I will walk with you, and we will both follow Him.
A faith-centered coaching framework developed from lived experience, not just coaching theory.
Life is layered. The demands of a career, the weight of relationships, the tension between who you are and who you feel called to become - none of it fits neatly into a self-help checklist. I know this because I lived it for over two decades.The LAYER Method was born out of my own journey of trying to honor God in spaces that did not always make that easy. It is not a rigid program. It is a framework that moves with you, meeting you where you are and walking with you toward where God is calling you to go.
L • Listen
──────────────────
Before anything else, we slow down and Listen - not to the noise of the world, your family, your boss or colleagues, your inbox, or even your own fear - but to God. In the noisiest time in human history, hearing His voice requires intention. This phase is about creating the space to discern His voice through your story.
The purposes of a person's heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out. ~ Proverbs 20:5
A • Align
──────────────────
Once we are truly listening, we begin the work to Align. This is where we examine the gap between the life we are living and the life God is calling us to. We surface your values, clarify identity, and begin to separate who you are from the stories, systems, and limiting beliefs that may have shaped you.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is: His good, pleasing and perfect will. ~ Romans 12:2
Y • Yield
──────────────────
Yield is the most spiritually costly phase, and often the most transformative. The world pulls hard. Its definitions of success, its timelines, its expectations are loud and relentless. Yielding means making an active, conscious choice to give way to God's direction rather than the world's demands. This is where faith becomes action.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight. ~ Proverbs 3:5-6
E • Embed
──────────────────
Transformation without roots does not last. In the Embed phase we build the practices, rhythms, and anchors that reinforce the work you have done. We look for evidence of a more aligned story and where it may already be showing up in your life. We get intentional about establishing the daily habits that will ensure you stay grounded when the pressure returns.
Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. ~ Joshua 1:8
R • Release
──────────────────
Release is not the end. It is the beginning of a new and improved chapter. Here we name what we are letting go of - the narratives, the fears, the identities that no longer serve us on our journey, and we step forward with clarity and commitment, embracing the season God has purposed us for.
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. ~ Isaiah 43:18-19
The LAYER Method moves at your pace.No two clients move through this framework the same way. Some phases require more time. Some seasons call us back to an earlier layer before we can progress. That is not failure. That is faithfulness. Before we meet, you will complete a short pre-session worksheet so we arrive ready to work. Clearing the Fog

It is not being able to see clearly enough to even name what is happening.Clearing the Fog is two private 90-minute sessions designed to go beneath the surface of the challenge you are carrying, name what is actually happening and why it feels as heavy as it does, and give you language and realistic options for the path forward. You will not leave with more confusion. You will leave with clarity.
The #FaithWalkers Cohort

Some of the most powerful work and the most meaningful connections happen in community.The #FaithWalkers Cohort is six weekly 75-minute group sessions moving through the LAYER Method alongside other professionals navigating similar seasons. You will find language for what you are carrying, hear your own story reflected in the stories of others, and leave each session with practical commitments and a supportive network to help move you from thinking to doing. This is for anyone ready to take real steps forward out of their challenges but feel most at home doing it in community first.
Clearing the Path

You have identified your challenge. Now it is time to move.Clearing the Path is a 30-day private coaching engagement with five weekly sessions, supported by structured pre-work and reflective journaling between each conversation. You will close the engagement with a written personal declaration and at least one concrete, time-bound action commitment. Not just clarity. A commitment that will drive action. You have been in a valley, but it is not where you're going to stay.
The Faith Walk

This is a full and complete journey: from the root of where you are to the life God is calling you toward.The Faith Walk is a ten-session private coaching engagement, meeting bi-weekly over five months, moving through all five phases of the LAYER Method from story gathering to forward commitment to concrete action. This is for the professional who is ready to stop striving inside a life that looks successful on paper but feels spiritually empty and misaligned, and is intentional about walking confidently into the purpose and calling God has been preparing them for all along.
